Puberty can be an awkward topic to teach, and many teachers feel unprepared. In Christian schools, it’s even harder—you need a resource that’s both educational and faith-aligned, but finding one that meets your school’s values can be a challenge.
Trying to Teach Puberty Can Be Overwhelming
Without the right resources, you might face...
Confusing or awkward lessons – Students tune out or feel uncomfortable, making it harder to have meaningful discussions.
Parent complaints – Using unapproved or unclear materials can lead to concerns from parents who expect trusted, age-appropriate content.
Uncertainty about what you can and can’t say – In a Christian school, you want to approach this topic in a way that aligns with the ethos of the school—but without formation, it’s hard to know what you can say.
Things Are Changing is trusted by over 600 faith based schools

Over the last decade Things Are Changing has helped tens of thousands of primary age students, teachers and their parents explore this crucial time of transition and growth.

How do we involve parents?
This resource can be purchased as a stand alone resource to support your teachers teach health and puberty and in addition to this we are also offering live virtual parent and child puberty education evenings. These evenings are facilitated by an accredited Catholic Family Life Educator.
These evening sessions are hugely popular with many schools immediately deciding to re-book each year due to limited availability. The live virtual evening session (facilitated over Zoom) is something that parents preferred over an in-person school information evening as it gave them the opportunity to discuss the material with their child in the privacy of their own home. They deeply appreciated the support given by the schools in hosting these events.
